Registration Committee
The Registration Committee maintains records of registered groups, GSRs, Area Committee members, and all alternates; registers attendance at Area assemblies and Area Committee meetings; maintains descriptions and maps of Area boundaries and district boundaries; studies proposals for formation of new districts and modification of district boundaries; and makes impact reports to the Area Committee.

The committee has been working in conjunction with the Web Site committee to produce a set of district maps. We currently have reviewed all the resource materials available to us and have a set of maps and boundaries of all districts. Our goal is to make these available on the Area Website. We currently have a printed book available for review at the Registration Committee meeting prior to each assembly or contact the Registration Committee Chair. Maps can be e-mailed.

The Website now has a link to the Committee Chair for questions regarding District Boundaries. Most call have been for individual meetings. These have for the most part be forwarded to the local Central Offices, most of which have meeting schedules on line. One group was referred to Mid-Southern California area 9 and several others were referred to the appropriate district. The Website has District Meetings, times dates, and location.

One remaining project left to do is the full size district map of Area 9. We will be discussing both getting the boundaries on the map and a method of display that can be used regardless of the venue of the meetings.

I would encourage any interested Assembly members or district registrars to attend the Committee meeting especially if you have any problems, suggestions or just plain questions regarding Area and GSO registrations. The committee can be an excellent opportunity to ask questions of the registrar personally. The registration committee meets prior to each area assembly. Also if any district is interested in change the district boundaries such proposals are to be present to the committee first for review and recommendation to the area committee then the assembly.
