Delegate's Report
Hi everyone, my name is Jim W. and I am an Alcoholic, sober today - thank God.

District General Service Conference reports are well underway and I want to thank each of you DCMs for having me out. It is such an honor to serve our great Fellowship.

Our post General Service Conference "report back" assembly went incredibly well. I want to thank again Delegates Jerry, Bruce and Vicki from Areas 8, 9 & 93 who each shared part of their Committees' work and their experiences. As always, our good friend and past Pacific Region Trustee, Jim C. gave a great presentation on the duties of the Trustees and many details that are sometimes buried deep in the Service Manual.

As many of you are aware, the 56th General Service Conference Committee on Trustees - requested additional background information from the Areas regarding whether a Class B Trustee should serve as Chairperson of the General Service Board.

In order to help our Area participate, I prepared a questionnaire. Several other Area members and Officers helped translate and distribute both the questionnaire and available background information. We want to have a discussion on this topic at the July 29 Area Assembly and have all the questionnaires completed and returned to me or Gayle R. at the General Service Office - no later than October 1, 2006.

I also had the opportunity to attend the Pacific Regional Forum in Seattle, June 23rd, 24th & 25th. Leonard B. gave a fantastic presentation on the new local language AA meetings in Kosovo and the new General Service Office in China. You can check the China operation out on the internet at http://www.aabeijing.com.

We were also reminded by Greg M - GSO General Manager, that there is plenty of money for AA services. Let's thank the groups for their participation and invite those that are yet to participate - to join us.

In closing, I look forward to visiting you all later this summer - once the final 2006 Conference report is distributed. Let's share this rich experience of AA Service.

God Bless - until we meet next.

-Jim W.
