SCAAN

New to General Service
A woman with many years of sobriety decides she wants to be a General Service Representative and discovers another Spiritual Experience!

I read the Big Book, go to Big Book studies, and find myself in the chapters and stories of the Big Book on a daily basis. So I knew that going to visit the birthplace of Alcoholics Anonymous was going to be a wonderful experience...and it turned out to be much more.

I've just returned from Akron, Ohio, and through my twenty years of sobriety I've never experienced anything so tremendous as Founder's Day in Akron. I feel like I've truly experienced the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous from the History that started in Akron.

The first person that I met there hugged me and said "welcome home"….I choked. The entire time I was there I was choked up in tears...tears of joy and gratitude. I felt I truly had a Spiritual Experience, and wish that every member of Alcoholics Anonymous could experience Founder's Day in Akron at least once in their life. I'm still on a Spiritual High!

God Bless, Maria O.
